Pepa---I've found the the guys at Penny Automotive to be fair and prompt. I've had several things done so far to keep my beater rolling on.

Has anyone been in Smokecessories yet???

Thanks guys I have heard that too. I had issues with some of the local car places in town not fixing things right. What made it worse was the attitude.

An attitude of how dare you question their in ability to fix it right plus it was something you must have done by driving it down the street.

I love love love Penny Automotive. My 72 year old mom took her van to another local shop to be fixed. They could never get it right. Finally she was about to buy another vehicle from then when I said "just take it to Penny. Those people at the dealership are desperite for business and you are a 72 year old single woman. I'd at least spend a few bucks and have Penny confirm that it can't be fixed." She took my advice and for $600 her van is running great and she doesn't have a $10,000 (or more) loan.
As for those mechanics at Cole Motors shame on you!

Problem here is if they could not fix your mother's van right the first time, how could one expect them to fix the new vehicle she would have bought from them.

I like this thread and it's getting a little stale so, I'll add another reply.

We went to the Stray Dog Bookstore. What a great little place! We had an iced mocha and read some books. The owner's daughter was very friendly and GREAT with child. LOL I really enjoyed my visit and plan to go back.
I hope she brings that baby with her to work after he/she is born. That'd be one more reason to stop in again.

I'm going to throw my 2 cents in on the Kalamazoo Air Zoo. My husband and 3 kids went this past Saturday along with my sister, her husband and their 3 kids and my Dad and his wife. I had heard about the free admission for the summer and had hoped to go with just my family. Dad called and said let's all go to the Air Zoo, admission is free. Sounds good Dad let's do that. So I was a little freaked out when we had to pay almost $65. My husband patiently (along with the young lady at the admission kiosk) explained that yes admission is free, but to ride the rides is $12.95 (Down from the usual $20.00 cost). My husband felt that if we were going to come here we needed to do the "whole package". So there was a brief moment that I felt a little "rooked" by the free admission reel. Note that I said brief.

As we are walking in my mouth is hanging open. It is amazing! The rides are great for the kids, the plane exhibits are fantastic. They also have veterans there that will talk to you, give you a tour and answer any of your questions. We had a great time and just when I thought okay I think were about done here, my sister says well are we ready to go to the other building? I'm like other building, sure okay. What a tribute to our military and veterans! This place is a fantastic place to learn and see what the history of WWl and WWll not only from the USA military, but Japan and Germany as well.

So, I would encourage everybody to go and take advantage of the reduced prices and free admission. Oh and if you don't want "unlimited" on the rides for $12.95, you can pay $2 a ticket and just go on what you want. Some rides take 2 tickets though, so the $12.95 is probably the better choice. If you don't care about the rides, then a free learning experience is awaiting you.

Uh, forgot to mention the space exploration exhibits. Man, those guys were flying on nuts and bolts. Brought home to me how brave and courageous they were and still are!!!

Now that summer's back, I've REALLY been appreciating our local food producers again, such as:
