With Al's experience as Mayor it will allow him to hit the ground running as County Commissioner. Al never had intentions of being Mayor long term but while serving I believe he did a great job for the Citizens of Three Rivers.
Mayor Balog brought a greater level of integrity and accountability to the Three Rivers Commission. I also believe that the City gov. is in better shape today by the changes that have taken place.
Allen Balog will continue to represent the people of TR and will base all his decisions on what is in the best interest of the citizens.
Mayor Balog faced a good deal of opposition as Mayor but came through it standing tall with his dignity and integrity in tact.
I don't believe we could do any better than having Allen Balog represent St. Joe County. I know this is the step Mayor Balog wants to take, so as a show of support and appreciation for his sacrifice and services to this City, I ask you to PLEASE make sure and Vote for Allen Balog for County Commissioner.
We've seen him in action so we know what we're getting. He's someone we can trust !! |

| The Political Forum between Al Balog and Jim Bippus was held last night!! The Commercial misprinted the notice.. I contacted the commercial today Elena said that she had a large article in today's paper and there would not be another forum scheduled. The voters of St Joe Co. should have a chance to hear the candidates also not just a newspaper reporter. The commercial took that privilege away from us. |

My observation is that there is what I would call a "home town" advantage in TR. Virtually almost anyone who runs for office who has family roots/name recognition seems to me to have a far greater chance at winning against someone who may be viewed more as being an outsider.
I think many so called locals (born/bred TR people) 'subconsciously' see it as trying to keep "all the power/connections" within one BIG family. |

I had enough of the Bippuss so Allen got my vote. So, do we have to go to Heaven's gate church to vote? Is that the new location for everyone?

| I do plan to vote tomorrow but I am certainly uncomfortable having to go into Riverside to do so. I plan on voicing that to poll workers and suggest anyone else feeling that way do the same. They can not change it but if enough people comment I am sure word will reach those running the election. |
