Any thoughts on either of these two candidates?

Government is too big and too important to be left to the politicians.

ok, i'll start... George Ramsey. He's a member of his political party, attends meetings and appears to be interested in the happenings of his surrounding area which could eventually effect the City. I think it's important for one to stay informed with the dealings of other governmental agencies.

I will be voting for George Ramsey. I believe George has a passion for Three Rivers and wants what's best for the city and it's citizens rather than his own self interest like we have now.
I believe George will hold this city manager accountable as Mayor Balog does. Now there will be two.
A vote for Wendy Shank will make three, then we can have real accountability and change in this city.

Now as for Judy Gilchrist. I believe she is a good person and I wouldn't say anything against her BUT she is a Tom Lowry supporter and I believe she will support the status quo, so in other words the same old same old. I don't believe she will stand up to Mr. Bippus and his boys. We can't afford more years of the same.

We need transparency at city hall! How are WE THE PEOPLE going to hold them accountable when we don't even know what they're really doing. An explanation as to all the contaminated water tests for example!!

George Ramsey is a young family man that will bring a younger perspective to the commission.
We have many young families here and George will do a great job representing them.

So a vote for George Ramsey and Wendy Shank is a vote for transparency, accountability and positive change for Three Rivers, it's also a vote against self interest at city hall.

So city employees if you're tired of the way you're being treated. If you're tired of worrying about losing the job you've invested many years into because Mr. Bippus may have heard about something you said. If you're tired of not being able to express your concerns, VOTE FOR George Ramsey and Wendy Shank!! They will work WITH Mayor Balog to bring accountability rather than against him like we have now. The Mayor is doing a great job but he can't do it all himself, he needs the support George and Wendy will bring.

So go to the polls and vote! Make sure all your friends, family and co workers vote also. You have an opportunity to change your working environment, don't let this one pass by!!

I hope you're not suggesting Christians shouldn't run for office. I don't understand your comment.Maybe you're suggesting Christians shouldn't lower their standards to he level of politicians?

But if you look at ALL the government buildings in DC, you'll see angels and other religious scultures on the walls, ceilings, front enterances, etc.

Maybe they should!!

Our country was founded by Christians on the Word of God. The further we stray from what He wants the worse things get. Just look around. Our country 200 yrs. ago, or event 50 for that matter, as a whole would not have tolerated the things that we say are ok now. We need to get back to what our fore-fathers believed in...what our real Father desired for us.

George has my full support. Not becuase he is a Christian and has good morals and beliefs. Not because he is my brother-inlaw, but because he is the best suited to bring Truth and Trust back to our local government with no hidden agenda.

I have been impressed with his passion for the issues also. I do believe he is the most likely candidate to challenge the current commission and I truly believe that electing Judy will mean that we will get more of the same. I think she is a fine person. I just don't think she is going to challenge the commission in the way that they need to be challenged.

George has done his homework too. He's met with about every person in the city with maybe a couple exceptions. I think everyone will be pleased with the level of enthusiasm he brings to the table. George is an honest and integral man who undoubtedly will do the right thing.

Maybe lovinlife is referring to the open sewage running down our river and the outhouse explanations of how city hall is dealing with it. The people of Three Rivers are being fed a bunch of crap by city hall and Mr. Rozeboom.

Continued praise to Mayor Balog and Commissioner Baker. They both have done an awesome job dismantling Mr. Bippus and Mr. Rozebooms house of cards.

Listening to these two explain our waster water issues, you would think EVERYTHING is under control and ever problem has a solution but then Commissioner Baker continued his campaign to actually fix the problem this time.

He said back in 2001 we had the same issue and the city spent 7 million dollars to fix all these problems and 8 years later they still exist. Mr. Baker told the EMPLOYEE called City Manager and the EMPLOYEE called Head of the Wastewater Plant to get the problem solved because he wasn't going to stop bringing this up even if he has to come each and every city commission meeting till it done and done right.

Another interesting note. After the commission meeting was over, I leaned over and confronted Mr. Rozeboom about questioning city employees as to who they had been talking to. Apperantly Mr. Rozeboom doesn't like the FACT that city employees tell me what's going on behind closed doors and I bring these issues up during commission meetings.
Mr. Rozeboom HAS been asking city employees if they have been talking to me !!

I told him it was none of his business who they talk to and they have a right to talk to citizens if they want to.

Mr. Rozeboom said they are HIS employees and he'll ask them anything he wants to.

I told him they are the citizens of Three Rivers employees just as he is and they work for us !
Then I repeated, Stop intimidating city employees because if he didn't I would take this a step futher, which then I did by imforming Mayor Balog as to Mr. Rozeboom actions.

Jim Rozeboom is already in hot water, I don't think he wants to add even more to his list of violations !!

So in saying all this maybe lovinlife has a point ! What's in an outhouse ? I believe the answer would be CRAP !!!
