| Been a long time since I have posted on this site but I can see nothing has changed.Remember the old saying the more things change the more they stay the same.I see that Lowry is trying to keep himself in the limelight by coming to all the meetings don't have nothing good to add just can't seem to get away from it(must be something in the water that draws these type of people to add their two cents worth).Like I have said in a previous post long ago that the commissioners should get a bobble head replica of themselves and the night of the meetings only one has to show up and when it is time to vote all that guy who shows up has to do is flick each one on the chin and you will get the same vote out of them as you are getting now(without the lies and deception of course). The people who are running this city now and before election has never heard a bad idea that they were not willing to vote yes on.Fire or get rid of them all.It only takes one bad apple or in this case person to spoil the whole bunch. And the sad part is I like some of them but we all know that friendship stops at the front door. |

| You're right about Mr. Lowry, he'll tell anyone who asks that he misses the job and being involved, pity he can't redirect that energy and get involved in something else! |

Mr. Lowry can practice abstinence. Great way to redirect his energy.

I just heard another story of our city management letting a broken water main run all weekend, then returning Monday to fix it.
Now if you doubt my story, this one came from the Mayor himself. A while ago he had a broken water main in front of his house. The city workers blocked off the area and left to return Monday to fix the break.
Now just to cover the city employees butt, remember they are told what to do by management.
I return to my original question. Who's paying for the loss of water !!! ??? This is the second time I've heard the same story, how any stories are out there that we still haven't heard???
Citizens of Three Rivers, We need some answers. We need some accountability from OUR employee called city manager.
Commissioner Keith told (our employee) called city manager, his answers to why we had an 8 day boil water notice was NOT acceptable but to date WE THE CITIZENS OF THREE RIVERS still have no credible answer. Commissioner Keith also said, Our city manager needed to be held accountable. I've said this many times, I believe things are upside down at city hall. It seems that some on our commission think Joe Bippus is the boss and they work for him. They give him an account rather than Mr. Bippus giving the Commission an account.
The truth is the commission works for us and the city manager is suppose to give them an account for ALL of his actions. Total disclosure. We are suppose to know what's going on, not have to do an investigation to find out the truth. I believe if we were to know the whole truth about the 8 day boil water notice, we would find it should have been maybe a 3 or 4 day notice. I think we would find that neglect, irresponsibility and a desire not to be inconvenienced during a holiday extended the number of days by half.
Remember the broken water main procedure! wait til after the weekend to fix it !!
Now this was over the Christmas weekend where businesses were trying to do business and serve their customers. The Hospital was trying to do business and serve their patients. We as citizens were paying our taxes and trying to serve our families during a holiday. Talk about being inconvenienced !! But our city management wasn't serving us or doing the job we hired them to do and that is SERVE THE CITIZENS OF THREE RIVERS.
So I go back to some earlier questions. 1. Who is paying for the lost water ? 2. What is the whole truth and nothing but the truth about the boil water notice ? 3. Who is responsible ? Who told who to do what ? 4. What price should be paid and by whom for what went on ? 5. Why are broken water mains allowed to run all weekend ?
The Citizens of Three Rivers have the right to know the truth about how our city is being run !! |

Seems the commissioners are a bit hypocrytical. They keep giving the city manager glowing reviews and rewarding him with extra pay, but at the same time saying that his management style is not in the best interests of the citizens?
Time we invited the city manager to put in applications elsewhere? |

City of Three Rivers adding chlorine to water supply as precautionary measure after "positive bacteriological sample"
Government is too big and too important to be left to the politicians. |

| Because then someone might actually have to take responsibility for thier actions, or lack of action. You know..if no one saw it did it actually happen!! |

| Does anyone know updated information on the water tests other than the fact we're still being chlorinated? |

If you have questions, call the Three Rivers Department of Public Services at (269) 273-1845 Now after saying this, I don't for one minute think they will really tell the truth but just for the experiment, call them, then post what they tell you. It could be interesting |

the Three Rivers Water Works (it does sometimes) seems to have repetitious and unresolved problems! a high school chemistry student would have to take accurate water samples to pass! the magnitude of water problems in Three Rivers does give concern, does it not? whom is the City Manager protecting, and why are some Commissioners protecting the City Manager?

| If (I really mean when) the City begins to chlorinate the water full-time, will it still need to be tested as often as it is now? If not, will the wage of the person responsible for said testing be reduced to go along with less responsibility? If the water will still need to be tested as often, even with the chlorination, why chlorinate in the first place. Just curious. |
