Once the endless parade of firefighters, police officers, school employees, church members, school friends and Calisa's Centreville neighbors share their FACTUAL accounts of what horrors were put upon this child- it won't matter if the trial is held in Centreville or in Tim-Buck-Two. Those parents will most assuredly face swift justice in this matter.
I can tell you that this motion is not shocking- any good lawyer would likely try this. Luckily, in this county the prosecutors and judges are not idiots and they will find justice for Calista. Let this case serve as an example to others.
The RUMOR RUNNER attempts to verify and chase down a variety of rumors in and around St. Joseph County. |

Alright, I just have to say that although this is a tragic situation, there is vey little that can be done for Calista now, but there is the question of the other two children.
Need I remind any of you of Dave Pelzer, you know, "A Child Called It", "The Lost Boy", "Help Yourself", "A Man Named Dave"? It is amazingly cruel what some parents will allow themselves to do to a child, yet not another. If we for one minute think that the siblings of Calista are not suffering from the abuse that Calista received then we are all in denial.
What sorts of treatments and counselling are these two children receiving and why in God's name are the parents being aloud to visit with them? Have they not done enough damage to their vey own flesh and blood?
There is absolutely no excuse for this kind of abuse to be tolerated and if these parents do not receive the utmost penalty for the damage that they have caused, then we as citizens, jurors and judges are not doing our jobs.

Casey, you might want to direct your questions about custody to the Judge in the case who, according to newspaper reports, was considering letting the children return home to their parents over the objections of case workers. I think the story was in the Sturgis Journal about two months ago.
Family friends say that the girls are in counseling, if that eases your mind. |

Motions in Springer case considered during St. Joseph County Circuit Court hearing.
Government is too big and too important to be left to the politicians. |

Funny how the Springers get to have all the protections and rights granted to them by the Constitution and laws pertaining to a fair trail. Yet, The laws and Constitution failed where Calista was concerned due to people that did not do their jobs.

| There are those who feel that the workers in the case who consistently let Calista down should also be in the dock alongside the parents. |
