The Lockport Township Board Monday approved putting language on the ballot for the Nov. 8 election seeking one mill for fire protection and 0.5 mill for ambulance and emergency medical services.

Lockport Township attorney Seth Koches updated the township board Monday on the status of litigation between the township and city over annexation of an approximately 80-acre parcel of township property between N. Main Street and Buckhorn Road where the city seeks to locate a sports complex. Lockport Township does not want the land annexed.
