Reply That picture is not ugly at all. It is very powerful. I did watch my mother fire a pistol as a child. I now watch my wife and daughter do it on a regular basis. It gives me peace of mind to know that they can respond to an attack from a stronger individual with maximum force. Whatever you think about guns the bad guys already have weapons. Guns in the hands of law abiding citizens (especially when they are women) give them a fair chance in the event of a confrontation with the bad guys. Reply “Ugly, frightful picture. Just what I would want to watch my mother doing. Perpetuating and inciting violence is all that guns are good for.” Are you kidding me? Women need to protect themselves. You had better believe that should a rapist attack me I will administer immediate violence all over him with great prejudice. What would you do if you were attacked? Be raped, beaten, or perhaps dead? Would you prefer the headlines to read, “Woman attacked and survived due to her training and use of her firearm” or “Woman attacked, beaten, raped, and killed. Leaving two young children and a husband behind? People who are prepared are the ones that have the greatest chance of survival. Just like preparing for a flood or tornado. You prepare for the possibility hoping that the reality never occurs. No one wants to have to resort to a fight for their lives. But if you did wouldn’t you want your mother, daughter, sister, or friend to have the greatest chances of getting out alive? I know I do.
